NIIT launches Cloud campus enabled Post Graduate Programme in IT (PGPIT) in Jammu
To develop day-one industry ready professionals through industry-endorsed curriculum and six-month project training with leading IT organisation
Jammu, February 14, 2013: NIIT, leading Global Talent Development Corporation and Asia’s largest IT trainer, today launched the Cloud campus enabled Post Graduate Diploma Programme in IT (PGPIT) in Jammu. The industry-endorsed syllabus of the PGPIT aims to help students in developing a strong conceptual foundation, along with technical skills, for meeting the core requirements of the job demands in IT and IT related domains.
PGPIT course has been designed with inputs from NIIT’s academic and IT partners, ensuring that students’ IT skills are mapped to requirements of the industry. The uniqueness of the programme also lies in the 6-months paid internship with leading IT and ITeS companies.
Speaking on the launch, Amitabh Lahiri, President, Individual Learning Solutions, NIIT Ltd. said “The Cloud campus enabled Post Graduate Programme in IT will help create a pool of trained professionals for today’s globalized knowledge economy. The use of Cloud platform will ensure that students enjoy higher mobility while pursuing the course and equip themselves with skill sets that employers value, thus helping them chart exciting careers in information technology”
The Cloud campus enabled PGPIT empowers student to learn on his own terms, at his own pace, wherever and whenever he wants it. Students enjoy higher mobility as they can easily access educational services using a Netbook that connects them to NIIT’s Cloud CampusTM network.
The syllabus is based on a revolutionary educational paradigm called collaborative learning which takes students beyond the traditional classroom based student-teacher relationship. Students enrolling for the programme will be provided with a Cloud campus enabled netbook from NIIT. Furthermore, the technology backed learning environment of NIIT’s Cloud Learning Methodology supports group learning through interactive features like 24×7 lab and e-library access, instant tech updates, interaction with faculty and peers and access to online video streams.
A graduate, less than or equal to 27 years of age at the time of admission with more than 60% marks in class XII is eligible to apply for the course. The 48-weeks PGPIT is a professional programme for graduates, combining an industry endorsed syllabus with NIIT’s quality training. Further, the six-month paid internship during the program will help students get hands on industry experience, as well as the opportunity to recover part of their fees while completing the programme.
PGPIT programme will be offered through NIIT’s state-of-the-art Synchronous Learning Technology (SLT), a unique learning methodology that enhances student experience by combining the best features of conventional classroom education coupled with advanced e-learning and learning management techniques
Students can also avail easy education loan services from NIIT’s Education Loan partner – Credila, which is a subsidiary of HDFC limited and is an exclusive Education loan provider. Students can avail education loan on 100% of the course fee including taxes for PGPIT program.
